I thought
you were gonna say the words
I liked your silence
but not that day

You said
the words I was gonna use
I thought
no use in repeating
what she’s just said

We thought that day would set things right
Today, we set the record straight

I love you

I love you just the same

I loved you all along
I love you to this day
