Persona #5738
Welcome to their life.
It might be an open book
— though, unlike a certain kind,
left opened to the same page as ever
because one is obsessed
with a narrow frame of it.
Are we on the same page?
Life together is a mutual reading.
Will you read their last page as they read yours?
Will you commit? Will you compromise?
Welcome to their life. It’s free to enter but pricey to leave.

I like it too. Kinda work as a one-liner, I think.

What is your inspiration behind the poems? There’s so much thought and depth?

Hmm, it’s difficult to pintpoint.
I write every single day, be it a poem, one-liners, song lyrics, etc. I shall write at least a line daily. Once I learn of a new expression/ one-liner/ verse/ fragment of thought that I like, I frame it as complete thought, verse, and ideas naturally follow it. If not immediatly, I only need to sleep on it for a little while.
Other possibility is that I come up with an original phrase or phrasing, and I research it to get a grasp on how people frame those thoughts, if it’s unnatural and I might need to rephrase it, etc.
My first and most important tool to use is play on words, so I have an initial contrast that is enough to build upon.
Of course I mostly write on things that I like so much and sometimes have a deep understanding of, so it’s easier to develop them. Language, poetry, music, art… The other themes I find inspiration in things I read daily.

Wow! that’s a lot to sleep on… no wonder the result is what it is…. captivating.
I agree it is easier to write on things we like or feel more of 😀. Looking forward to more from you.
